RBK Reading Adventure Cohort

Cohort coaching for ages 2–5

You’ve started your child’s reading journey. Now you want a coach watching what’s happening in your actual home—not just another PDF.

The RBK Reading Adventure Cohort is a 4-week, small-group coaching experience where I sit “next to you” (on Zoom) and show you exactly how to use the Reading Adventure Pack™—page by page—so your child starts having real, confident reading wins.

You bring your child. I bring the plan, the scripts, and the coaching.

  • • Weekly small-group coaching calls
  • • 5–10 minute page per day (4–6 days/week)
  • • Ages 2–5, short attention spans welcome
  • • One actively coached child per family (siblings can join)

Founding cohort rate: $1,200 per family.

Why parents join the cohort

Most moms who apply already have the materials. What they want now is a guide—someone to walk them through it with their actual child and schedule.

  • They’re tired of pinning ideas and never knowing what to do today.
  • They want their child ahead in reading before kindergarten, without pressure.
  • They want reading to feel like a warm connection, not a daily fight.
  • They want to stop wondering, “Am I messing this up?” and start feeling like the reading parent their child needs.

Exactly what you get in 4 weeks

Over 4 weeks, you’re not doing this alone. Here’s what’s included when you join:

Weekly live coaching calls

Small-group Zoom calls where I walk you through the pages for the week, model what to say, and answer questions about your child in real time.

4-week daily reading roadmap

A simple “this is today’s page” plan so you always know what to open, what to say, and when to stop. No lesson planning, no overthinking.

Personalized troubleshooting

Support for your specific child—wiggly, shy, strong-willed, already reading, or just starting. We adjust the routine to your real home, not an ideal one.

Call replays & tiny-wins tracker

Access to replays for your cohort plus a tiny-wins tracker, so you can see your child’s progress stack up week after week.

Who this cohort is (and isn’t) for

This is for you if…

  • You have a 2–5 year old and want them ahead in reading before kindergarten.
  • You can commit 5–10 minutes most days and one weekly call.
  • You want someone to tell you exactly what to do, not just hand you more worksheets.
  • You like the idea of one simple routine your child can learn to love.

This is not a fit if…

  • You want a hands-off app to occupy your child while you do something else.
  • You’re not ready to be involved in your child’s learning right now.
  • You can’t open the book at least 3–4 days a week.
  • You’re looking for a magic button, not a small, steady habit.

The Reading Adventure Pack™ we’ll use together

Inside the cohort, we work straight from the RBK Reading Adventure Pack™—four levels that carry your child from first sounds to reading longer words with confidence.

Sounds Made Simple cover
Level 1 — Sounds Made Simple™
From Sounds to Words cover
Level 2 — From Sounds to Words™
Long Vowel Launch cover
Level 3 — Long Vowel Launch™
Vowel Team Power Quest cover
Level 4 — Vowel Team Power Quest™

Below are a few real inside pages and how we’ll use them together.

Sample page from Level 1 — Sounds Made Simple

Level 1 — Sounds Made Simple™

What you’re seeing

A Level 1 page that focuses on one letter sound at a time, with motion, character, and QR audio support.

How we use it in the cohort

  • Coach you on how to say each sound cleanly (no extra vowels).
  • Show you how to keep tracing + motion playful, not “schoolish.”
  • Adjust the routine for your child’s attention span and personality.

Tiny win

Your child learns letter sounds the way kids naturally learn best—moving, hearing, and seeing it together—while you feel confident you’re leading it correctly.

Sample page from Level 2 — From Sounds to Words

Level 2 — From Sounds to Words™

What you’re seeing

A Level 2 blending page where individual sounds turn into short, silly words your child can actually read using the RBK slide format.

How we use it in the cohort

  • Practice exactly how to point and pause so blending feels easy.
  • Use gentle language to correct mistakes without pressure or shame.
  • Celebrate the first “I can really read this!” moments in a big way.

Tiny win

Your child has real reading wins with simple words—and you know exactly how to coach them instead of guessing.

Sample page from Level 4 — Vowel Team Power Quest

Level 4 — Vowel Team Power Quest™

What you’re seeing

A Level 4 page where two vowels work together as a team (like “AI” or “EA”) to make one sound. The canoe layout and spacing help your child see each part of the word.

How we use it in the cohort

  • Show you how to explain “two vowels, one sound” using the canoe and paddles.
  • Practice reading words slowly, then a little faster, at your child’s pace.
  • Talk through when to push on and when to stop for the day.

Tiny win

Vowel teams stop feeling random. Your child can decode longer words instead of guessing—and you know how to support them.

How the cohort fits into your 4–6 month reading journey

Most RBK families use one 10-minute page a day, 4–6 days a week. The cohort gives you a strong, supported first month so you can keep going with confidence.

  • Weeks 1–4 (cohort): You build the habit, learn the scripts, and see your first real wins.
  • Level 1 (sounds): Your child learns all the key sounds with confidence.
  • Level 2 (short words): Those sounds turn into real words.
  • Level 3 (long vowels): Reading gets smoother and more advanced patterns appear.
  • Level 4 (vowel teams): Your child can tackle longer, trickier words in real books.

If you’ve already done the Vowel Power Quickstart, this is your next step. If not, we’ll give you a simple on-ramp inside the cohort so you’re not behind.

But what if my child...?

Is only 2?

Ages 2–5 is the sweet spot for building a strong reading brain. The cohort keeps pages short, playful, and routine-based, so even very young kids can participate.

Has a short attention span?

That’s normal. We design for it. Sessions are 5–10 minutes, and we adjust the routine if your child needs more movement or shorter bursts.

Is already advanced?

Great. The Reading Adventure Pack™ gives them a rock-solid foundation so future reading is faster, smoother, and more confident.

What if I’m not a teacher?

You don’t need to be. Each page gives you a script, and in the cohort I model exactly how to use it. You’ll never be left guessing.

We’ve tried other programs and couldn’t stick with them.

That’s exactly why this exists. No bins of materials. No long videos. Just one guided page a day, plus a coach and a group keeping you accountable.

What if we fall behind?

There’s no “behind.” If life happens, we adjust your plan on the calls so you can restart without guilt or pressure.

Ready for extra help and hands-on support?

If you want more than a PDF—if you want a reading coach watching your child’s progress and telling you exactly what to do next—the RBK Reading Adventure Cohort is for you.

We’ll use these pages together, in real life, with your real child, so you’re never left guessing or feeling behind.
